Java Fern (Microsorum pteropus) is found in Thailand, Malaysia, and some areas of China. Found in its natural habitat growing attached to roots and rocks, it can grow in both fully and partially submerged environment. The plant can propagate through small sprouting plants that form on older leaves. This fern attaches itself well to hard substrates like wood and rocks.
This plant requires only low to moderate lighting and tolerates a large temperature range of 68-82° F. A KH range of 3-8, and a range of pH 6.0-8.0 is best with an ideal pH at 7.0
